TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jan 27, 2014) - Romios Gold Resources Inc. (TSX-VENTURE:RG)(PINKSHEETS:RMIOF)(FRANKFURT:D4R) ("Romios" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the acquisition of approximately 2,778 hectares of mineral tenures in the Sheslay Valley area in northwestern British Columbia. These mineral tenures are in two blocks with the northerly claim staked along the southern edge of a long airborne magnetic anomaly and the southerly claim staked over another large circular airborne magnetic anomaly. Both these anomalies resemble the geophysical anomaly covered by the Hat Property where Double View Capital Corp. announced that it had recently drilled 0.32% copper equivalent over 313.11 metres and they are of the opinion that their discovery qualifies as a copper-gold alkali porphyry-type deposit (news release dated January 20th, 2014).
Romios now holds approximately 80,700 hectares in Northwestern B.C.'s Golden Triangle area where numerous mineral properties are being explored and prepared for development and mining. These properties are in the vicinity of Pretium Resources' Brucejack deposit, Barrick Gold's Eskay Creek mine, and Galore Creek Mining Corporation's Galore Creek Project (a NovaGold/Teck Resources' joint venture). Other nearby deposits, considered to be porphyry type orebodies, include the Red Chris deposit which is currently being developed and the Schaft Creek deposit.
The technical information contained in this press release has been reviewed and approved by Mr. Mel de Quadros, PhD, PEng., a Director of Romios and a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
