Story & Clark Pianos, a division of QRS Music Technologies, Inc.
(OTC:QRSM), today announced that it’s all-new
acoustic piano line would come standard with PNOscan™,
which features MIDI and USB ports, effectively creating a bridge between
the world of traditional acoustic pianos and today’s
leading leading-edge technologies.
PNOscan, the only retrofit optical recorder on the market, was
introduced last fall and has gained popularity with both serious
musicians and recreational players. PNOscan provides full recording and
playback capabilities. PNOscan uses 88 optical sensors to track the
movement of every key as it is played and translates the sound for
output via MIDI and USB ports.
“By making PNOscan, with its MIDI and USB
ports, a standard installation on all of our Story & Clark pianos for
virtually the same price as a comparable piano without these features,
we are giving the acoustic piano new and added relevance that fits
current consumer lifestyles,” said Tom Dolan,
president and chief executive officer. “Now
anyone can teach themselves to play piano at their own pace and whenever
it’s convenient. The options are as limitless
as the Internet and the software that’s out
there.”
PNOscan, with its MIDI and USB ports, will be a standard installation on
all pianos in the new Story & Clark line, featuring all- new pianos with
exclusive scale designs, specs and styles. The line will be unveiled at
the NAMM show in January, 2008 in the QRS booth, #321.
