French luxury retailer PPR SA (PP.FR) Tuesday said it appointed Jean-Marc Duplaix as new Chief Financial Officer to succeed Jean-Francois Palus who held the duties of the job until now.
MAIN FACTS:
- Duplaix would take over as CFO on Jan. 30, 2012.
- Jean-Marc Duplaix previously held the position of Deputy CFO at M6 Group (MMT.FR).
- PPR also announced an enlargement of the scope of responsibilities entrusted to Group Managing Director Jean-François Palus who will from now on dedicate his time fully to implementing the Group's strategic, operational and organizing orientations.
- This shift is integral to the rollout of the PPR strategy initiated and overseen by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer François-Henri Pinault. It will shore up the transformation of PPR into a more integrated group, and will among other enable Jean-François Palus to devote more resources to the various processes of expansion, support and coordination of the Group's brands.
