Medical Services Completes Initial Testing in Peru
EDMONTON, ALBERTA, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- On September 16, Medical
Services International Inc (Pinksheets: MSITF) announced that it had begun
shipping VScan Rapid Test Kits for HIV and TB into several countries in South
America to begin regulatory testing.
Medical Services is pleased to announce that the initial phase of the testing of
the HIV test kit has now been completed in Peru. The Company has been advised
that regulatory officials were very encouraged and excited about the initial
results and have asked the Company to begin a final phase of testing
immediately.
The Company has been informed that due to the growing demand for a fast,
accurate, rapid test kit for the screening of HIV that the scope of the
regulatory approval when completed will now include a number of additional
Government and non-Government institutions. This will ensure that the VScan test
kit is available to a wide cross section of the Peruvian market of approximately
28 million people. The Company is working with the respective officials in Peru
towards an expeditious approval process.

The VScan rapid test kit is a single use, disposable, accurate (greater than
99%), cost effective, easy-to-use rapid test for the screening of HIV 1&2 and
subgroup O, Hepatitis B&C, and Tuberculosis (TB). The kits cannot be sold in
Canada.
