MedLink Announces Partnership With NHIN CONNECT

   MedLink (OTCBB: MLKNA), a leading provider of Electronic Health Records and healthcare IT interoperability solutions, announced today that it has been selected as an National Health Information Network (NHIN) CONNECT partner, which is a project aimed at providing all Americans with interoperable Health Records by promoting interoperability in the U.S. healthcare system. MedLink has been working in collaboration with other public and private participants in the healthcare IT community to develop CONNECT, which will enable secure electronic health data exchange among healthcare providers, insurers, government agencies and consumer services.

The CONNECT project was recently recognized by the American Council for Technology/Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) with a prestigious 2010 Intergovernmental Solutions Award and the Wall Street Journal Innovation Award for Health IT.

CONNECT enables secure and interoperable electronic health information exchanges with other NHIN participating organizations, including federal agencies, state, tribal and local-level health organizations, and healthcare participants in the private sector. The NHIN will eventually be a vast network of public and private-sector organizations sharing information under clearly defined specifications, agreements and policies.
