Zadoc Angell, a seven-year veteran of Paradigm, has left the agency to pursue management at Artist International. Angell is the first hire for newly installed President of Motion Picture & Television Literary Department, Dave Brown, who in April folded his Sleeping Giant Entertainment business into Artist International, the management division of Hollywood Studios International (PINKSHEETS: HYWS) headed by CEO and Chairman, Steven Saxton, who Executive Produced the summer's breakout hit "The Kids Are All Right."

Angell brings with him an expertise in packaging, staffing, and development and will spearhead the company's literary efforts in television, which could include production and foreign sales divisions in the future. Brown, who worked with Angell at the boutique literary agency Genesis, said, "Zadoc is a rising star in the TV business. He has great taste and is widely respected throughout the industry. We are excited to have him be our anchor on the TV management side."

As an agent, Angell was best known for packaging NBC's fall flagship show, "The Event," from writer/creator Nick Wauters and for shepherding the television career of feature writer, Bert V. Royal, ("Easy A"). Zadoc said, "I felt it was the right moment in my career to transition into management. With Artist International's access to independent financing and foreign sales, I can offer my TV writers new access and advantages in this competitive marketplace." After meeting with Artist International Managing Director Joel Newton and Brown, Angell said he "Found true partners who shared my passion for the artist. I believe in their vision and couldn't pass up the opportunity to help build Artist International. We believe in bringing the best out of an artist, and in this new role, I feel I can give my clients every opportunity to succeed."

Angell brings an impressive arsenal of television clients with him to Artist International, including Brenda Hsueh ("How I Met Your Mother"), Jennifer Fisher ("Titus," "Ellen"), Ken Storer ("Law & Order: SVU"), Chris Torres ("Law & Order: SVU"), Doug Stockstill ("Big Love"), Ingrid Escajeda ("Better Off Ted"), Stefanie Leder ("10 Things I Hate About You"), and Eric Wallace ("Eureka"), with more to be announced.
