HyPower Fuel Files Biofuel Patent in Multiple Countries

  Mr. Douglas Bender, President of HyPower
Fuel (PINKSHEETS: HYPF), today announced that, "We are very pleased to
inform our shareholders that upon consultation with our patent and
technical advisors, we have instructed our Calgary Patent Attorney at
Borden Ladner Gervais LLP to file for patent protection in North America
and multiple countries in Asia including Malaysia, Indonesia, China, South
Korea and India."

Mr. Bender expressed confidence in the value of the patents being sought and stated that, "HyPower has rigorously tested the process on every feedstock available. We are gratified that the exhaustive work done by our European and Canadian team of scientists, researchers and project managers has resulted in a ultra-green process that we strongly believe will be financially rewarding for the Company and its shareholders. As an assignee of the resultant patents HyPower will be able to market, license and sell production rights for this unique and environmentally friendly technology."

Mr. Bender closed by saying, "Ultimately, as with our other patents and patent applications, we wish to file this patent application in every large, industrial jurisdiction. We intend to pursue a patent in every country that produces and sells a large volume of biodiesel. This is a key asset component of our biodiesel marketing program in North America and Asia and is another step forward enabling us to complete a sale or license in those lucrative jurisdictions."

The HyPower Biofuel process is a "next generation" biodiesel technology that has a number of competitive advantages over conventional biodiesel production methods.
