BLAINE, Wash., Jan. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hollund Industrial Marine, Inc. (OTC PINK: HIMR) ("Hollund" or the "Company") an underwater forest management company, announced today, that the Company has begun to source and vet distribution partners, to ensure sufficient channels to support minimum sales of between 900 thousand to 1 million board feet of over 20 marketable tropical wood species in 2015.
"The daily timber recovery plan appears to be on target," stated Peter Meier, President of Hollund. "This means, the first year's harvest is projected to yield roughly 960 thousand board feet, based on minimal operations."
While management indicated that the Company is developing a ramp up strategy to increase production later this year, its primary focus is to first secure sales of the timber harvested from current operations. The Company has executed a plan to "source out distribution partners, capable of handling the sales of an ample and steady supply of tropical 'underwater wood'," continued Mr. Meier.
"Up until now, many sales outlets would tend to be specialty shops, as in years past, distributors were not provided with a substantial and reliable enough supply of this timber type, to warrant broader market participation. However, leveraging the proven expertise and experience of our partners, and even without implementation of future innovations, we have the ability to increase minimal yearly production to over 5 million board feet. We believe this would reflect the largest and most consistent volume supply the markets have seen yet. In this instance, we would require several well positioned, seasoned and nimble distribution sources."
Management indicated that they have engaged in dialogue with several prospects. Company officials expect to move the vetting process along to formal engagements quickly.
Mr. Meier concluded, "Time is of the essence, as we intend to swiftly identify prospects, ship samples, execute distribution agreements and sell wood in very short order."
