Canadian Oil Company Announces Humanitarian Aid Goals for Liberia, West Africa 


VANCOUVER, June 18  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The people in Liberia, West Africa, will soon benefit from a Canadian oil company's humanitarian program that will focus on providing  medical assistance to that part of the African continent.

Gold Star Humanitarian Society (GSHS), a West African aid group organized within Gold Star Resources Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: GXXFF; TSX-V; GXX; http://www.goldstarresources.com/), today formally announced its medical assistance goals in Liberia in 2009 and 2010.  These medical aid goals include the following:

  --  Provide generators to medical clinics along with fuel vouchers;
  --  Provide medical prescription medicines such as anti-malaria and
      typhoid;
  --  Provide suitable medical instruments and supplies;
  --  Sponsor medical training of mid-wives and nurses;
  --  Repair and/or build new medical clinics;
  --  Build community latrines;
  --  Sponsor student health worker scholarships.
