General DataComm, Inc. (GNRD) announced today that its SpectraComm NEBS Level 3 Certified network access products and Xedge family of Multiservice Packet Exchange (MSPx) products have both have been accepted by the USDA Telecommunications Standards Committee “A” (Telecommunications) for inclusion in the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) List of Materials. USDA RUS acceptance means that GDC’s feature rich SpectraComm and Xedge products can be purchased using RUS loans and grants.

“GDC is very proud that both our core product lines have been granted acceptance,” said George Gray, Chief Technology Officer of GDC. “Both product families provide reliable and efficient multiservice transmission for carrier modernization and expansion of rural broadband services.”

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 supports broadband initiatives that are intended to spur job growth and accelerate broadband deployment in unserved, underserved and rural areas and with the RUS relationship fully in place, GDC can assist rural operators in reaching their broadband objectives.

GDC's SpectraComm® family of products offer a broad range of NEBS Level 3 Certified, network access products including integrated access systems for T1/T3, xDSL, DDS and Analog Services; Modems and Modem Security, CSUs/DSUs, Routers, Ethernet Switches, Ethernet Extension Devices, Legacy to Ethernet Transport and Network Management Systems.

GDC’s Xedge Multiservice platforms deliver any to any connectivity and maximize network bandwidth utilization in the delivery of Broadband Services.
