Second Street Capital, Inc. (“SSCI”) announced today that the company has formed two new wholly owned subsidiary companies, a new real estate brokerage subsidiary named “Second Street Realty, LLC and a new construction company called Second Street Construction, LLC.  The new companies are designed to help clients that are interested in acquiring new small and medium size income producing properties.  Mr. Layne Meyer will be the principle broker for the real estate company and president of the construction company.  Mr. Meyer has over thirty years of real estate experience having been in the homebuilding business as well as the real estate sales and finance business.

Mr. Meyer stated “the Florida real estate market has started to recover, however there are still thousands of properties that are owned by banks and distressed owners still willing to accept below market prices when presented non-contingent cash contracts. Our expertise in finding, underwriting and adding value by rehabbing or adding new construction to these types of properties provides us with an unprecedented opportunity to offer investors access to situations, that when acted upon quickly, can produce exceptional returns.”
