Concordis Group, Inc. Appoints Head of Physician Advisory Council

DESTIN, Fla., Jan. 27  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Concordis Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets: CNGI), a growing financial holding company, announced today that Dr. K. Barton Farris has been appointed head of the company's newly established Physician Advisory Council. As leader of this committee Dr. Farris will advise the company in its preparation and planned entry into the medical insurance industry.

Dr. Farris is currently the Director of Pathology at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, Louisiana. Dr. Farris is the President of Consultant Pathology Service, a medical service company, and sits on the board of Louisiana State Medical Society and Journal of the Louisiana State Medical Society.

Dr. Farris is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at the prestigious Tulane University School of Medicine and he is a current council member of the American Medical Association, a fellow of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and a fellow of the College of American Pathologists. He was a founding member of the Greater New Orleans Pathology Society and Physicians Managed Care Independent Practice Association (IPA).
