Chris England, President of Chester Mining Company (“Chester”)
(Pink Sheets:CHMN) is pleased to announce that the Chester has signed an
agreement to acquire a 50% interest in the Tesorito project from
Sterling Mining Company (“Sterling”)
(OTC: SLRM).
The Tesorito project area encompasses 287.2 acres; is accessible by
paved highway; is located near the historic Malagros property in the
state of Zacatecas, Mexico and includes the El Tesorito Mine. The main
silver vein at El Tesorito Mine is traceable on the surface for 1100
metres (3600 ft). It is 2.5 metre (8.2 feet) wide widening to 5.0 metre
(16.4 feet) at a depth of 80 metres (262 feet) as indicated by surface
trenches, shafts and limited workings. There are two 800 metre (2520
feet) deep shafts located at either end of the 1100 metre main vein. The
mineral inventory, estimated by prior operators, is historical in nature
and requires further verification in order for it to be relied upon.
Mr. England stated, “The Tesorito project
represents an excellent exploration opportunity especially in view of
the fact that the property has not been explored using modern methods.
Initially, we intend to conduct a program of diamond drilling, mapping
and sampling to identify additional exploration targets and better
define the current resource.”
Chester Mining acquired its 50% interest in the project for US $1.2
million, which has been paid through the issuance of 600,000 restricted
shares of Chester Mining Company common stock to Sterling.
