Ballistic Recovery Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:BRSI)
(BRSparachutes.com), a manufacturer and worldwide supplier of
whole-airplane parachute recovery systems for general aviation and
recreational aircraft, announced today two key additions to its senior
management team.
"BRS is at a point where we are seeing greater acceptance of whole
airplane parachute technology," said Larry E. Williams, CEO and
President of BRS, "these moves are reflective of our significant
commitment to build our internal capabilities to respond to these
market opportunities."
Gary Moore joins BRS in the newly created position of Vice
President of International Operations & Government Sales. Moore, most
recently with Lockheed Martin, brings to BRS an extensive background
of international and military business development from a variety of
key international markets. Mr. Moore will focus on BRS's Mexican
facility both in terms of operations and sales.
"With an outstanding background developing new product strategies
abroad, coupled with a strong proven sales record, Gary will be an
invaluable asset to BRS," said Williams.
Another addition to BRS's management team is the promotion of
Frank Hoffmann to the position of Vice President of Engineering.
Hoffmann, formerly based in Germany as the Director of Engineering for
BRS's European office, now joins the BRS headquarters in St. Paul,
Minnesota to assume his new position.
"BRS is committed to new technologies and we expect to use these
in new and existing products as airframe parachute applications expand
into the exciting new light jet market," said Hoffmann
In Ballistic Recovery System's 25-year history, the company has
sold over 21,000 onboard emergency parachute systems to aircraft
owners around the world, including over 2,700 systems on certified
aircraft like the best-selling Cirrus Design SR series. BRS systems
have been documented in saving 190 lives.
