Three Cuervo-Sponsored Competitions To Take Place in Miami, Dallas and Huntington Beach, California LOS ANGELES, April 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AVP, Inc. (OTC:AVPI) (BULLETIN BOARD: AVPI) (http://www.avp.com/), a lifestyle sports entertainment company focused on professional beach volleyball, and Jose Cuervo Tequila, have announced the return of the Cuervo Gold Crown Series, which kicks off the first three events of the 2008 AVP Crocs Pro Beach Volleyball Tour. The three-event Cuervo-sponsored series runs from April 11-13 in Miami, then moves to Dallas from April 18-20, and concludes in Huntington Beach, May 2-4. At Huntington Beach, the top four men's and women's teams in cumulative points after these first three events will go on to compete in a winner-takes-all tournament to determine the Cuervo Gold Crown Series champion. This final Cuervo Gold Crown tournament will take place following the Huntington Beach tournament on Sunday, May 4. In addition to the prize money won at the individual tournaments, one male and one female team stand to win a $25,000 bonus check, for a total of $50,000 up for grabs. The teams of Phil Dalhausser /Todd Rogers and Nicole Branagh / Elaine Youngs will attempt to defend their 2007 Cuervo Gold Crown Series victories. All three of the events featured in the Cuervo Gold Crown series will begin with an open qualifier on the Thursday prior to the start of the tournament. Anyone can enter the qualifier and, if they play well enough, can enter the 24-team Main Draw starting on Friday.
