Patagonia Gold Announces Two New Board Members

TORONTO, April 8, 2013 /CNW/ - Patagonia Gold Plc (TSX: PAT, AIM: PGD) today announced the appointments of Manuel de Prado and Glenn Featherby as Non-Executive Directors of the Company with immediate effect.

Manuel de Prado has gained extensive experience over more than 25 years in the financial services sector. He was head of Chase Manhattan S.G.I.I.C., covering Private Banking and Asset Management in Spain and Portugal. Previously, Manuel spent more than 10 years as Managing Director at Chase Manhattan Bank, in charge of Corporate Lending and Investment Banking, in Spain. He is currently a director of Oquendo Corporate S.L. in Madrid, an independent financial advisory firm specialising in mergers and acquisitions and other corporate finance related transactions. Manuel has a BA in Economics and Business Administration from ICADE.

Glenn Featherby has over 30 years' experience in corporate advisory work and has worked extensively in the resources sector. He began his career with KPMG in Perth and London before establishing his own accounting practice in Perth in 1997. Glenn is currently executive Chairman of Hawkley Oil and Gas Limited and non-executive Chairman of Forte Energy NL, each of which are listed on the ASX. He has previously been finance director of AIM-listed Regal Petroleum Plc and a non-executive director of Canadian and AIM-listed European Goldfields Limited. Glenn is a qualified chartered accountant.
