First Asset Announces Completion of Can-Series Fund Amalgamation Transactions

TORONTO, May 3, 2016 /CNW/ - Further to its press releases dated February 25, 2016, and April 5, 2016, First Asset Investment Management Inc. ("First Asset") announces that it has completed the amalgamation of First Asset Fund Corp., First Asset Core Fund Corp., Can-Financials Income Corp. (TSX: FIC) and CanBanc 8 Income Corp. (TSX: CBF) (the "Amalgamation").

In connection with the Amalgamation:

1. First Asset CanBanc Income ETF (TSX:CIC) has changed its name to First Asset CanBanc Income Class ETF;
   
   
2. First Asset Core Canadian Equity Income ETF (TSX: CSY) has changed its name to First Asset Core Canadian Equity Income Class ETF;
   
   
3. Each issued and outstanding equity share of CanBanc 8 Income Corp. was exchanged for 0.98557 exchange traded fund shares of First Asset CanBanc Income Class ETF; and
   
   
4. Each issued and outstanding equity share of Can-Financials Income Corp. was exchanged for 0.37989 exchange traded fund shares of First Asset MSCI Canada Quality Index Class ETF.

First Asset MSCI Canada Quality Index Class ETF (TSX: FQC) will commence trading on Wednesday May 4, 2016, on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
