"WD is a natural sponsor for this event," said Rob Cheng, chief executive
officer of PC Pitstop. "During last year's challenge, the winning PCs all had
WD Raptor hard drives, the 'de facto' standard hard drive for PC enthusiasts.
WD's involvement in this year's contest makes the Top Dawg Challenge even more
exciting."
"As the world's fastest SATA hard drive, WD Raptor is perfect for PC and gaming
enthusiasts," said Hubbert Smith, WD's director of enterprise marketing. "No
other hard drive comes close to WD Raptor, making it the clear choice for Top
Dawg challengers."
The contest will be held April 18, 2005 through May 17, 2005. The grand prize
is the award-winning WD Raptor 10,000 RPM 74 GB SATA hard drive. Runners up
will receive a WD Raptor 36 GB. Additionally, several random drawings will be
held throughout the contest so everyone has a chance to win prizes.
