Brownrout will report to Jeffrey M. Johnson, senior vice president and general

"I'm very proud to join a newspaper as distinguished as the Los Angeles Times,"
said Brownrout. "I look forward to working with The Times' advertising staff
to provide advertisers with great customer service and advertising solutions

director at the Boca Raton (Fla.) News. He joined the Lexington (Ky.)

A native of New York, Brownrout earned a B.A. degree in English from Hobart
