Latimes.com Introduces New RSS Service

Offers automatic delivery of latimes.com and other recommended content 


LOS ANGELES, Aug. 31  /PRNewswire/ -- Latimes.com today announced the availability of its RSS (Really Simple Syndication) service, Los Angeles Times NewsPoint.  The free service is used by latimes.com readers to customize personal news feeds and additional online content for automatic delivery to their desktops.

Los Angeles Times NewsPoint was created jointly with Consenda, a Swiss-American media software developer specializing in online content delivery.

Los Angeles Times NewsPoint enables users to aggregate news headlines and editor-recommended content from latimes.com, as well as RSS feeds from other websites and blogs.  When new updates are posted in the feeds they have specified, the service alerts users and streams the latest headlines in a desktop ticker.
