                       Board Appointments and Retirement

Stanelco, the RF (radio frequency) applications group, is pleased to announce
the following director appointments to strengthen its Board.

Elizabeth Filkin is appointed Senior Independent Non Executive Director
(previously Non Executive Chairman).

Philip Albert Lovegrove OBE, 66, is appointed non-executive Chairman. Philip has
been involved in asset management, corporate finance and corporate recoveries in
the City of London for over 40 years. He is a Director of Fiske Plc and Ashtead
Group Plc and Chairman of VTR Plc.

Graham John Whitchurch, 44, is appointed as executive director following the
recent acquisition of Adept Polymers Limited. Graham is a qualified engineer and
has considerable experience in the development and manufacture of biodegradable
polymers.

Robert Edward Duggan A.C.A, 37, becomes an Executive Director and continues in
the role of Company Secretary.

Howard White, 50, becomes an Executive Director having served on the Board as a
Non Executive Director for 12 years.

Stanelco also announces the retirement of Audrey Shepherd, 74, as a director.
Audrey has served as an Executive Director for 12 years and the Board gratefully
acknowledges and thanks her for her positive contribution to the Company.

All changes are effective immediately.

Within the last five years he has been a director of Natwest Enterprise Trust
plc, Twins Holdings plc and W T Foods plc. He has a beneficial interest in
4,225,000 ordinary shares of Stanelco Plc.

Graham Whitchurch, will have a salary of #56,595 per annum plus benefits in kind
of #6,000 per annum and a notice period of 3 months. He is currently a director
of Adept Polymers Limited and within the last five years has been a director of
Environmental Polymers Limited and Environmental Polymers Group plc.

Graham Whitchurch was an executive director and Philip Lovegrove is a non
executive director of Environmental Polymers Group plc which entered into a
creditors voluntary liquidation on 7 March 2003 with liabilities of #7,867,085
outstanding. Graham Whitchurch was also an executive director of Environmental
Polymers Limited which entered into a creditors voluntary liquidation on 7 March
2003.

Robert Duggan is currently a director of Stanelco Fibre Optics Limited, InGel
Industrial Limited and Southshore Financial Management Services Limited. Robert
Duggan has an interest in EMI share options of 1,111,111 shares at an option
price of 2.25p exercisable between 1 November 2005 and 31 October 2012.

The Company confirms that there is no further information about the above
Directors requiring disclosure under paragraph 16.4 of the UKLA Listing Rules.
