Purchase of own securities

The Board of Royal London Growth & Income Trust plc announces that it has today
made a market purchase of 135,000 9% Convertible Unsecured Loan Stock ("CULS")
in the capital of the Company (SEDOL No.0213187), representing 0.25% of the
current issued CULS in the Company, for cancellation at a price of 102.5 pence
per CUL.

Following cancellation, 54,553,337 CULS in the Company will remain in issue.
