Purchase of own securities

The Board of the Company announces that it has today made a market purchase of
1,080,000 geared ordinary shares of one penny each in the capital of the Company
(SEDOL No. 0213154), representing 1.000% of the current issued geared ordinary
share capital of the Company, for cancellation at a price of 28.5 pence per
geared ordinary share.


Following cancellation, 107,680,935 geared ordinary shares in the Company will
remain in issue.
