Purchase of own securities

The Board of Royal London Growth & Income Trust plc announces that it has today
made a market purchase of 50,000 geared ordinary shares of one penny each in the
capital of the Company (SEDOL No. 0213154), representing 0.046% of the current
issued geared ordinary share capital of the Company, for cancellation at a price
of 25 pence per geared ordinary share.

Following cancellation, 108,760,935 geared ordinary shares in the Company will
remain in issue.
