Purchase of own securities

The Board of Royal London Growth & Income Trust plc announces that it has today
made a market purchase of 1,000,000 9% Convertible Unsecured Loan Stock ("CULS")
in the capital of the Company (SEDOL No.0213187), representing 1.78% of the
current CULS in the Company, for cancellation at a price of 91 pence per CUL..

Following cancellation, 55,042,337 CULS in the Company will remain in issue.
