Receives SAP AG Integration Certification of Ascent Release for ERP



21 July 2003 - DICOM Group plc ("DICOM Group"), the global leader in the
Electronic Document Capture ("EDC") market, announces that SAP AG has certified
the integration of its Ascent Release for ERP version 1.0 with SAP(R) R/3(R)
Release 4.6.



SAP's integration certification of Ascent Release for ERP allows DICOM Group to
directly address the sizeable ERP market, by linking its Kofax Ascent Capture
product software to SAP applications.



Customer benefits include: a rapid return on investment through dramatically
lower labor costs, improved business process efficiencies, better customer
service and increased productivity.



Ascent Capture manages incoming content in various formats. This includes paper,
e-documents, voice, and video. Captured content is then made available for use
within business processes. Typically, Ascent Capture is used to scan documents
and automatically extract business critical data. Captured documents and data
are instantly accessible to users and applications.



Ascent Capture's advanced options include support for distributed capture and
advanced forms processing in:



Distributed Capture - Documents and data can be securely captured for
centralized processing from any location worldwide, using production scanners or
departmental digital copier.



Semi-Structured Forms Processing - Ascent Capture-based DICOM Invoice123
correctly identifies invoices and credit notes and extracts data needed for
processing.



Unstructured Forms Processing - Ascent Capture-based SmartPost123 is DICOM's 
"digital mailroom", used by enterprises to route incoming mail, and to
dramatically reduce manual keying from data-intensive documents, such as
purchase orders or claims.
