RNS Number:3876M Character Group PLC 16 June 2003 The Character Group plc ("the Company") Dealings by Directors The Company has been notified that Richard King (the Executive Chairman of the Company) sold 200,000 ordinary shares at a price of 101 pence per share on 13 June 2003 and 100,000 ordinary shares at a price of 101 pence per share today. These sales, together with the sale of 200,000 shares made by Mr King on 5 June 2003, have been made in accordance with Mr King's stated intentions as per the interim statement made on 29th April 2003. Following this sale Richard King has an interest in 7,155,428 ordinary shares 1, which represents 17.33 per cent. of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company. 1. Included in the interests of Mr. King are his interests in 1,885,428 ordinary shares held by Cedarberg Investments Limited, 320,000 ordinary shares held by Mrs M.H. King (the spouse of Mr. King), the 1,600,000 ordinary shares held by The Trustees of the TOPS Pension Scheme (of which Mr King is a potential beneficiary) and the 285,000 ordinary shares held by Orbis Pension Trustees Limited, which is the Trustee of the Company's Employee Share Ownership Trust ("ESOT").
