Zenith Announces Craig Thomson to Lead Non-Workers’ Compensation Property and Casualty Operations

Zenith National Insurance Corp. (NYSE:ZNT) announced today that on April 19, 2010, Craig Thomson will be joining its principal operating subsidiary, Zenith Insurance Company as Executive Vice President. Mr. Thomson will be responsible for building and leading Zenith’s non-workers’ compensation property and casualty operation specializing in California agriculture and headquartered in Sacramento, California.

Mr. Thomson has broad insurance and managerial experience and is a recognized leader in the agricultural field. He was most recently Vice President of sales and marketing for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company’s Agribusiness. Prior to joining Nationwide, Mr. Thomson held various underwriting management positions with Allied Insurance Company and CalFarm Insurance Company.
