                        APPOINTMENT OF FINANCE DIRECTOR

The Board of XKO Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of William
Good, ACMA as Group Finance Director.  William Good will be joining XKO Group
with effect from 13 January 2004. Rob Kimber, the current Finance Director, will
remain for a period of time to ensure a smooth handover.



William Good (38) was formerly the Group Finance Director of Retail Decisions
Plc, a fully listed software and services group.



Commenting on the new appointment, Simon Beart said:



"We are delighted William will be joining us in January. He has an excellent
track record with proven public company and IT sector experience. He will, I am
sure, make an excellent contribution to the financial and operational
opportunities that are available to the Group."
