Wilmington Trust, one of the nation’s leading
wealth advisory organizations, announced today that wealth management
professional Thomas J. Hakala, JD, CPA, PFS, has been selected to Worth
magazine’s list of the top 250 wealth advisors
in the United States. The list appears in the magazine’s
October edition.
This marks the fifth consecutive year Mr. Hakala, vice president and
managing director in Wilmington Trust’s Wealth
Advisory Services office in New York, has been included on the list,
which was expanded in 2008 from 100 to 250. Mr. Hakala, who joined
Wilmington Trust in 2001, specializes in structuring the ownership and
control of family wealth; estate, gift, and multi-generational trust
planning; and asset allocation and money management for high-net-worth
clients.
“We are proud that Tom has once again been
honored with this prestigious recognition,”
said Mark A. Graham, executive vice president of Wilmington Trust and
head of the company’s Wealth Advisory Services
business. “Tom’s
repeat selection to this elite list speaks to his expertise and reflects
the consistently high level of service that wealth advisory clients
receive from Wilmington Trust.”
Each year, Worth magazine recognizes individuals for their
expertise, integrity, and dedication to the field of wealth management.
The Top 250 list represents months of extensive research and rigorous
analysis. Worth editors considered only those wealth advisors
with at least 10 years of experience and proven capabilities of managing
accounts of at least $10 million. Work history, educational and
professional credentials, client retention success, thorough reference
checks, and the ability to communicate honestly and frankly with clients
also weighed heavily in the final selection by Worth editors.
