United Defense Clarifies Information on Quarterly Dividend

United Defense Industries, Inc. (NYSE:UDI) today
announced that its recently declared second quarterly dividend payout
for the year, in the amount of $0.125 per share of common stock, will
be made on June 1, 2005 to stockholders of record as of the close of
business on May 13, 2005. (The record date had previously been
incorrectly announced as May 15, 2005.)
