Union Bank Names Dave Dean and Kevin J. O'Donnell to New Retail Segment Management Group

  
    
  
  
    
      Union Bank of California, N.A. has announced the appointment of Senior 
      Vice Presidents Dave Dean and Kevin J. O’Donnell 
      to the newly-created retail market segment management team headed by 
      Executive Vice President Joe Petitti. Both will support Petitti in 
      developing strategies to target and deepen the bank’s 
      relationships with consumers and small business customers.
    
    
      "We are building a strong team for our new retail marketing efforts and 
      both Dave and Kevin bring valuable expertise that will allow us to 
      continue that momentum,” said Petitti. “They 
      are each highly experienced professionals with the technical knowledge 
      and leadership ability to enable us to execute our new strategies.”
    
    
      With more than 20 years of domestic and international marketing 
      experience--including 14 years in financial services--Dean will now take 
      the lead for the affluent client segment. Prior to joining Union Bank, 
      he held positions in affluent market segment management for Charles 
      Schwab and Co. Inc., and served as vice president of small business 
      marketing at Wells Fargo Bank.
    
    
      Dean, who resides in Berkeley, received his B.S. degree from the 
      University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his M.B.A. degree from San 
      Francisco State University.
    
    
      Formerly with Wells Fargo Bank, O’Donnell will 
      serve as the new manager of marketing research. A graduate of the 
      University of California at Santa Barbara, he has held research 
      positions with the National Republican Congressional Committee, the 
      PacficWest Communications Group and his own firm, San Francisco 
      Research. A resident of Novato, O’Donnell is a 
      member of the American Marketing Association, the Marketing Research 
      Association and the American Association for Public Opinion Research.
