NEW YORK, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Standard & Poor's will make the following changes to the S&P 500 and S&P MidCap 400 indices:
-- S&P MidCap 400 constituent Expeditors International of Washington Inc.
(NASD: EXPD) will replace TXU Corp. (NYSE:TXU) in the S&P 500 and
Terra Industries Inc. (NYSE:TRA) will replace Expeditors International
in the S&P MidCap 400 after the close of trading on Tuesday, October 9.
TXU Corp. is being acquired by a group of investors led by Kohlberg
Kravis Roberts & Co. and Texas Pacific Group in a deal expected to
close on or about that date, pending final approvals.
-- Guess? Inc. (NYSE:GES) will replace CDW Corp. (NASD: CDWC) in the S&P
MidCap 400 after the close of trading on a date to be announced. CDW
Corp. is being acquired by Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC in a deal
still pending final approvals.

Expeditors International provides logistics services worldwide. Headquartered in Seattle, WA, the company will be added to the S&P 500 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Air Freight & Logisitics Sub- Industry index.
Terra Industries engages in the production and marketing of nitrogen and methanol products for agricultural and industrial markets. Headquartered in Sioux City, IA, the company will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 GICS Fertilizers & Agricultural Chemicals Sub-Industry index.
Guess? engages in the design, marketing, distribution, and licensing of lifestyle collections of apparel and accessories for men, women, and children. Headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, the company will be added to the S&P MidCap 400 GICS Apparel Retail Sub-Industry index.
