ProfitCenter Software Inc.
(PCS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Systemax Inc. (NYSE: SYX),
and a premier provider of web-based, on-demand software for multichannel
and direct marketing merchants, announced the huge success of its 1st
Annual User Conference, which was held at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in
Las Vegas, Nevada.
The conference, taking place over three days, consisted of a keynote
address, informative presentations, product breakout sessions and
exciting events. A lively welcome reception, hosted by Litle & Company,
was held where attendees mingled enjoying food, cocktails, a DJ, dancing
and conversation. On Thursday night, the performance of Cirque du Soleil’s
“LOVE,” a show based
on the music and lyrics of The Beatles, sponsored by AT&T and HP,
stimulated everyone’s senses and brought
everyone back to the days of peace and love through The Beatles’
original recordings.
"The turnout was incredible; the customers and prospects were as vibrant
as ever," stated Matthew Ehrlich, President and CEO of ProfitCenter
Software Inc., "The Beatles show was one of the most amazing experiences
of my life, and almost everyone I talked to said the same thing."
The conference focused on sharing the power of communication,
information and the Web. This year's Beatles theme really carried
through with gifts of The Beatles 1 CD to kick off the keynote address.
Matthew Ehrlich’s keynote address titled “It
Was Ten Years Ago Today” targeted how the
internet has not only changed the way businesses use systems and the
Web, but highlighted how everyday personal tasks done ten years ago, are
now done almost solely on the Web such as; buying a book or a stock,
making airline reservations, dating, meeting friends, doing your taxes,
and marketing your company. It was an empowering yet entertaining speech.
Headlining the conference with enlightening presentations were:
Richard Leeds, CEO of Systemax Inc., with “Successful
Strategies for Increasing Profits and Reducing Costs”;
Christopher Long, Chief Marketing Officer of Litle & Company, with “How
to Turn Your Credit Card Processing into a Profit Center”;
Keith Coffin, Client Business Manager of ATT, with “AT&T
Enterprise Hosting Services”;
Ernie Schell, Managing Director of Marketing Systems Analysis,
Inc., with Ten Keys to Multi-Channel Success”;
Walter Weigold, President of Blue Chip Advisors, with “Selling
to the Right 50…Not the Wrong 500”
and;
Bill Gollan, President and CEO of OnRebate.com, with “How
to Increase Sales and Price Search Optimization”.
The conference brought together many PCS clients, users, prospects and
friends in a dynamic environment, allowing for the sharing of PCS
success stories and open, energetic discussion on trends and strategies
within the multichannel commerce industry. In addition, the PCS User
Board started to take shape and will soon meet to announce the inaugural
board members.
Quotes from some of the attendees were:
“I spoke with a lot of your potential
customers, as well as some that have signed with you, and we all had
the same opinion, that you are willing to bend over backwards to
satisfy our requirements.” –
Susan Vazquez from Publishers Clearing House.
“What an incredible experience. I had a
great, great time and got everything out of this conference I
expected, and then some. You guys are awesome!”
– Barry Gertner from A.M. Leonard.
“The energy here is infective. I cannot
wait to sign up with PCS and get rid of my old system!”
– Unanimous.
“I have attended many vendor user
conferences in the past, compared to all of them, PCS was first class.
You did not try to make a profit by charging us to come; you had
excellent speakers and sponsors, and the Beatles “Love”
show to boot for entertainment. There is nothing more to say!”
– Rick Amour from That Fish Place/That Pet
Place.
"I believe that strong interest in the PCS solution, and the future
growth of PCS, our customers and prospects, was a contributing factor in
the fantastic attendance," stated Ehrlich. “I
doubt that the PCS customers will only get by “With
A Little Help From Their Friends” at PCS. Our
goal is to build a world class organization in which our customers will
grow into world class entities within their respective marketplaces.”
