Syniverse Names Laura E. Binion as General Counsel

  
    
  
  
    
      Syniverse Technologies 
      (NYSE:SVR), a leading provider of technology and business solutions for 
      the global telecommunications industry, today named Laura E. Binion as 
      general counsel, corporate secretary and senior vice president. Binion 
      will succeed Robert F. Garcia Jr., general counsel, corporate secretary 
      and vice president, who is leaving the company after 13 years of service.
    
    
      “Rob has been an essential member of the 
      Syniverse team for many years, and his contributions have been

      and CEO of Syniverse. “His legal expertise and 
      guidance have been invaluable, especially during the time Syniverse made 
      its transformation to a public company and during our recent 
      acquisitions.”
    
    
      Holcombe said Binion is a great choice to lead the Syniverse legal team.

      Binion brings more than 25 years of experience in corporate legal 
      affairs to Syniverse. Most recently, she served as executive vice 
      president and general counsel for CheckFree Corporation, a $1 billion 
      provider of financial electronic commerce services and products that was 
      acquired in December 2007 by Fiserv Inc. She also held key roles with 
      Verizon Wireless, GTE Wireless and Contel Cellular.

      Binion earned her law degree from the University of Georgia School of 
      Law and her bachelor’s degree in political 
      science from the University of Georgia. She graduated magna cum laude
