S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes to the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

A Substitution in the S&P/TSX Global Mining Index

TORONTO, Sept. 5, 2013 /CNW/ - S&P Dow Jones Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:

As a result of the acquisition of Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd. by Sesa Goa Ltd., each ADR of Sterlite Industries (NYSE:SLT) will be replaced by 0.6 ADR of Sesa Goa (NYSE:SSLT). Effective at the open of Monday, September 9, 2013, the ADR of Sterlite will be removed from the S&P/TSX Global Mining, Global Base Metals and Equal Weight Global Base Metals Indices and replaced in the same indices by the ADR of Sesa Goa.
