Contract Allows for C-PACS Installation and Major Data Migration in Cleveland Clinic Facilities in the United States and Abroad CHICAGO, April 1, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Siemens Healthcare (http://www.siemens.com/healthcare ) has signed an agreement with the Cleveland Clinic, a not-for-profit multi-specialty academic medical center, under which Cleveland Clinic can deploy the syngo(R) Dynamics cardiology image management and reporting solution across its various locations. It is anticipated that syngo Dynamics will enable Cleveland Clinic physicians and staff to read, archive and distribute images and information acquired from more than 90,000 echocardiography procedures, 32,000 cath lab procedures and 59,000 vascular studies each year. (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20070904/SIEMENSLOGO ) The agreement will help Cleveland Clinic move towards a completely paperless digital cardiology model. Additionally, the enhanced reporting capabilities using Digital Structured Reporting on syngo Dynamics will help Cleveland Clinic cardiologists shorten their report turnaround time compared with using transcription services. The agreement also covers data migration of images and digital conversion of report data coming from echocardiography, cath lab and vascular imaging systems, which has been acquired at various Cleveland Clinic sites. The syngo Dynamics deployment will begin in mid-2008. Additionally, under the agreement the parties will collaborate in the development and testing of improvements to and future versions of syngo Dynamics. "It is an honor to be able to work with Cleveland Clinic. It is well-known throughout the industry for its first-class cardiology services," said Juergen Kress, vice president, Image and Knowledge Management Division, Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. "syngo Dynamics is a critical tool for hospitals trying to realize a completely filmless and paperless model, and we feel strongly that it will provide additional benefits for our customers."
