The Shaw Group Inc. (NYSE: SGR) today announced Vahid Ownjazayeri, P.E., has been named senior vice president of the Environmental & Infrastructure Group’s Northeast Central region, as well as its national director of transportation.

Mr. Ownjazayeri joins Shaw from AECOM, where he previously served as senior vice president and national director of transportation and strategic development. He also has served in various leadership roles, including the Northeast regional manager and vice president of marine/intermodal/freight for AECOM, vice president of New England operations for H.W. Lochner Engineers & Planners and director of contracts and administration for the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority.

Based in Shaw’s Stoughton, Mass., office, Mr. Ownjazayeri will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of operations in the Northeast Central region, as well as growth and execution of Shaw’s national transportation services.
