The Standard Names Lora Lyons Assistant Vice President of Absence Management and Short Term Disability

Standard Insurance Company (“The Standard”) announced today that Lora Lyons has been named assistant vice president of Absence Management and Short Term Disability.

Lyons’ responsibilities at The Standard include oversight of Absence Management and Short Term Disability claim operations. In addition to managing the intake and contact center operations, Lyons will oversee claim operations in Portland, Oregon, and in White Plains, New York.

Lyons has more than a decade of experience in employee benefits and disability claims. Most recently, she served as a principal at Hills Group Consulting, where she provided professional employee benefit services. Lyons has also held leadership positions at Symetra Financial, Zurich American Insurance and American General Life.
