BOLOGNA and HOLTSVILLE, N.Y., Oct. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Datalogic S.p.A., one of the world's leading manufacturers of barcode readers and portable terminals for data capture, and Symbol Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:SBL), The Enterprise Mobility Company(TM), today announced an extension to their Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreement. Under the terms of the five year agreement, which contains a five year renewal option, Symbol will be Datalogic's exclusive supplier of laser scan engines and also provide wireless technology. The contract's total value is currently estimated to be up to $60-75 million over the five year term.
