Winter Springs Resident Wins National RentWay Sweepstakes 


ERIE, Pa., July 7  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Rent-Way, Inc. (NYSE:RWY) -- Diane
Doyle of Winter Springs, Florida, is the ninth of twelve winners in RentWay's
Second Annual Harley-Davidson(R) Motorcycle Giveaway.  RentWay is one of the
nation's largest rental-purchase companies.

The Giveaway ran through June 18 and offered participants the chance to win a
Harley-Davidson(R) motorcycle each week for twelve weeks.  One lucky winner was
randomly selected weekly from entries submitted at RentWay stores nationwide. 
Ms. Doyle entered to win the Harley while visiting the RentWay store at 3385 S
Hwy 17 92 in Casselberry.

RentWay has opened 34 new stores this fiscal year and now operates 785 stores
nationwide.  The Company plans to open an additional 10 to 15 stores before the
end of September 2005.
