Royal & SunAlliance USA Announces Board Appointment

Royal & SunAlliance USA Inc, today announces the
appointment of Edward J. Muhl as outside Director.
   Muhl, 60, brings with him nearly 40 years of insurance experience
in senior regulatory and industry roles. He served in a regulatory
capacity as Superintendent of Insurance, State of New York,
Commissioner of Insurance, State of Maryland, and President of the
National Association of Insurance Commissioners. From 2001 until 2005,
he was a Partner and National Leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers
Insurance Regulatory Practice. He also served as a Partner and Head of
the Insurance and Reinsurance Practice of Navigant Consulting.
Currently, he is a member of the Congressional Insurance Advisory
Committee and the International Insurance Society.
