Five Subsidiaries of BMW Group France Select Reynolds' Incadea
Solution; Atos Origin to Lead Implementation
RAUBLING, Germany, June 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Reynolds and Reynolds
Company (NYSE:REY) announced that five subsidiaries of BMW Group France have
selected the Reynolds incadea automotive retailing software with Atos Origin as
their rollout partner.
The BMW incadea project is a result of close collaboration between Reynolds and
Reynolds International and BMW AG. BMW AG currently recommends the incadea
system in a dozen countries, including Spain, Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
Reynolds has led other successful implementations with BMW Belux
(Belgium/Luxembourg), in which more than 70 dealerships were installed in 18
months on the incadea solution.
Atos Origin, BMW's long-time partner for dealer management systems, is
Reynolds' partner for the BMW network in France. Atos Origin is a leading
system integrator in the automotive industry and has more than 18 years of
experience with BMW. Atos has dedicated a team to this project.
According to Thierry Gasiglia, systems integration manager, Atos Origin, "With
incadea we are implementing a product adapted to new business specifications
defined by BMW AG. Our responsibility as a Reynolds partner is to leverage our
deep market expertise to service and support the BMW Group France car dealers
in their daily operations and to maintain the consistency in the implementation
of the incadea product."
Hubert Gervais, incadea France manager, said, "The BMW Group France project
provides us with the opportunity to satisfy our international customer, BMW,
locally with a high level of quality and product integration. Now that the
subsidiaries have selected incadea, the solution will soon be proposed to the
BMW dealers in France. Along with Atos Origin, we will show dealers the
solution at the upcoming Equip'Auto tradeshow in Paris."
The incadea system is built on Microsoft Windows(R) and Microsoft(R) Business
Solutions Navision(R), one of the company's enterprise resource planning
solutions. It is used by 12,000 users representing 600 customer installations
in 28 countries. Flexible architecture enables the solution to be easily
localized to support multiple languages, currencies and local business
requirements.
The BMW project covers five French dealer subsidiary sites that together
generate $100 million in revenues, sell more than 4,500 vehicles and have more
than 200 employees.
The BMW Group France subsidiaries selected the incadea solution because of its
flexibility and ease of use, its ability to be localized and for its powerful
reporting and integration capabilities. The incadea solution is being adapted
to meet BMW's requirements, enabling dealers to efficiently exchange data with
the manufacturer. For dealers, the powerful system enables them to capture and
view real-time business, customer and vehicle information. It is a multi-site,
multi-make solution that has the capacity to accompany the fast growth of BMW's
subsidiaries.
Developed in collaboration with BMW AG, the following BMW-specific features are
already available on an international level:
* Vehicle and customer information interface - enables access to the
latest customer prospect information, production and delivery status on
ordered vehicles and access to information on pre-owned vehicles in the
BMW dealer network
* Inventory management interface - incadea is fully compliant with the
future BMW inventory ordering system that automates inventory updates
between dealers to expedite inventory replenishment
* Key reader interface - provides access to the information such as
vehicle history and scheduled maintenance, mileage, vehicle serial
numbers, and owner information
* Labor Time Guide interface - provides automatic integration of labor
time guides for service operations
* Vehicle repair interface - enables access to the technical information
sheet in the incadea system, permitting direct access to the latest
vehicle repair information
* Advanced reporting interface - provides standard BMW reporting
capabilities that are specific to BMW France, including features such
as statement of accounts and monthly reports
"Before selecting incadea, BMW Group France thoroughly evaluated other
solutions available in the market," said Eymeric Lepoutre, director of Finance
and Administration, BMW Distribution. "The ERP-based incadea delivers a
powerful set of accounts and payments. It gives real-time visibility into
business management and permits us to do real-time business reporting. It
delivers a seamless interface and data exchange with BMW headquarters. This
integrated system enables our dealers to access information on their customers
and vehicles, increasing their efficiency and profitability.
"For BMW, customer satisfaction is the focus. Reliable certifications, access
to the latest information and transparency in front of the customer - incadea
provides us with it all," he said.
