HOUSTON, Aug. 17  /PRNewswire/ -- As the State of Florida embarks on the
daunting task of rebuilding after Hurricane Charley's devastating landfall last
week, Shell Oil Products US and Motiva Enterprises LLC donated $50,000 to the
Volunteer Florida Foundation in an effort to help local communities rebuild
after this disaster.  The companies will also provide support to the American
Red Cross in the form of a gasoline donation.

Shell and Motiva, the companies that market the Shell brand in Florida, chose
the Volunteer Florida Foundation because the organization grants funds to many
disaster relief organizations serving Hurricane Charley victims in a way that
ensures there are no gaps in assistance.

Foundation.  "It is important to look at the overall needs for rebuilding

other organizations."

In addition, Shell and Motiva will support the American Red Cross' efforts with
a donation of Shell gasoline to fuel the 80 Red Cross vehicles currently
working to help residents in the area rebuild their lives.  Shell and Motiva
