MARKET OVERVIEW

Overseas markets are lower on increasing fears of oil prices.  None of the 15
markets that we track are currently positive.  The cumulative average return on
the group is minus 0.736 percent.

The big news today will be the initial jobless claims for the week ending May
15, which is set to be released at 8:30 a.m. Also, the April Leading Indicators
is set to be released at 10:00 a.m.  The consensus is for an increase of 0.2
percent, versus last month's 0.3 percent gain.

DYNAMIC MARKET OPPORTUNITIES

After announcing a special one-time dividend of $8 per share a while ago, MGM
made good on the deal and paid shareholders on Monday. But with that, the
company's stock price slumped $8 to around $12. Unsurprisingly, some ordinary
investors got spooked and wondered what was happening to the stock. But Ian
Cooper, chief trader at Taipan's Profit Hog investment group moved to calm the
nerves by saying it was just market reaction to the event, with many investors
profiting, then selling off. After recommending a "buy" on the stock at $17.50
on March 16, investors who followed Cooper's advice are still up 13% with the
$8 dividend factored in. With Sony acquisition talks underway, the plan is that
MGM will eventually be bought out above $20 a share, which would give those
investors a cumulative 58% gain. As such, the Profit Hog team remains bullish.
