American Italian Pasta Company Names Bob Schuller as Executive Vice President and General Counsel

KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 30  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Italian Pasta Company (NYSE:PLB) announced today that Bob Schuller will be joining the Company as Executive Vice President and General Counsel, a newly added executive position that will report to Jim Fogarty, Chief Executive Officer. Schuller will assume responsibility for the Company's legal affairs and human resource functions and will also serve as the Company's chief compliance officer.

Mr. Schuller has 20 years of legal experience, both in corporations and in private practice.  Schuller was most recently general counsel at VT, Inc., a privately held company with affiliated automobile dealerships and related insurance and real estate holdings.  Previously, Schuller was general counsel and corporate secretary of Farmland Industries, Inc., which at the time was one of the largest agricultural cooperatives in the nation with operations throughout the U.S. and overseas.
