Panasonic, a leading provider of integrated security and surveillance solutions, is showcasing a new solution here at the annual International Security Conference & Exposition (ISC West) to enable remote viewing and control of Panasonic IP-based i-PRO surveillance cameras and recorders using Panasonic Toughpad™ tablets. The Mobile Security Control Room solutions combine the rugged mobility of Toughpad tablets with Panasonic’s advanced line of surveillance technology, providing a truly mobile platform for comprehensive monitoring of businesses, schools, hospitals and other facilities.
The new solutions provide wireless remote access to both live and recorded surveillance feeds, and the ability to reposition and control pan-tilt-zoom cameras, via fully-rugged Toughpad tablets. The tablets’ durable design allows users to wirelessly access their video surveillance network no matter where their work takes them – including outdoors or in warehouses, commercial kitchens, machine rooms or other harsh environments. Each Toughpad features 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and optional embedded 4G LTE or 3G mobile broadband, providing for near-limitless mobility. Solution options include:
“This new solution is a great example of Panasonic’s longstanding commitment to helping our customers become more productive, more connected and more innovative,” said Greg Peratt, Panasonic video solutions integration team senior director. “By providing remote access to surveillance monitoring and control via our new rugged, enterprise-grade Toughpad tablets, we’ve put the security operations center in the palm of our customers’ hands, providing the mobility that today’s business environments demand while maximizing the flexibility and efficiency that keep facilities protected and secure.”
Panasonic offers a range of easy-to-integrate, IP-based network security cameras with advanced technologies and superior features such as, H.264 high efficiency video compression, multiple simultaneous video IP streams, super wide dynamic range (MEGA Super Dynamic), and advanced Auto Back Focus Cameras among others. Along with a full line of analog cameras, network and digital recording solutions, encoders and decoders, server-based systems and displays, Panasonic’s comprehensive security solutions are made for numerous vertical market applications such as food services, education, healthcare, gaming and public safety.
Introduced in 2011, Panasonic’s Toughpad line of rugged, enterprise-grade tablets feature MIL-STD-810G all-weather IP65 dust- and water-resistant designs, and are able to survive a drop of 4 feet or more – assuring reliable performance under circumstances that render typical consumer-grade tablets non-operational. Specifically designed to meet the needs of mobile workers, they include daylight-viewable touchscreens, heightened device security and long-life batteries.
Panasonic’s Mobile Security Control Room solution, along with its additional security solutions and technologies for vertical markets, is available for viewing at the Panasonic booth (booth # 14035) at ISC West in Las Vegas, April 9–11, 2013.
