Opower Wins Smart Grid Consumer Collaborative’s CLEAR Award

Prestigious Award Recognizes Opower as the Top Technology Vendor in Smart Grid Customer Education

Opower (NYSE: OPWR), the global leader in cloud-based software for the utility industry, was today named winner of the Smart Grid Consumer Collaborative’s CLEAR Award, recognizing Opower as the top technology vendor in smart grid customer education. Opower was awarded the CLEAR Award for its innovative, customer-centric Points and Rewards product.

The award, now in its third year, recognizes the top utility, technology vendor, and non-profit that have excelled in developing and implementing consumer education programs. Programs are selected based on their adherence to five behaviors: consumers first, leadership, excellence, authenticity, and results. Pepco Holdings Inc. and The Greenlining Institute also received CLEAR Awards.
