Denmark's DONG Energy A/S (DONG) Thursday said its Siri field and associated Stine, Nini and Cecilie fields remain closed after minor cracks were found in a water tank on the Siri platform.
Production from the area has averaged 13,500 barrels a day in 2009 to date, giving DONG a share of 6,000 barrels a day. DONG's partners in the field are RWE AG and Noreco after Talisman sold its stake to Noreco in 2008.
DONG closed the field Monday after the cracks were found during a routine inspection. Company spokesman Ulrik Froehlke said there is no further information about when the field will go back online.
