groninger Germany Invests in MSC.Dynamic Designer for the
Development of Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Packaging Machines
Leading Producer of Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Filling Machines Chooses
MSC.Dynamic Designer to Improve Virtual Product Development
SANTA ANA, Calif., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MSC.Software Corp.
(NYSE:MNS), the leading global provider of virtual product development (VPD)
products including simulation software and services, today announced that
groninger Germany, a leading provider of filling and packaging machines for the
pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, has invested in MSC.Dynamic Designer
Motion Professional for Autodesk Inventor. groninger will employ MSC.Dynamic
Designer to develop and simulate the performance of new and customized
pharmaceutical and cosmetic filling machines.
"The implementation of CAD-embedded simulation software is a key initiative
within our worldwide customer base, especially within those companies that
create complex machinery requiring an intimate understanding of motion
dynamics," says Frank Perna, chairman and chief executive officer of
MSC.Software. "To meet this demand, we have developed a broad spectrum of
CAD-embedded simulation tools. MSC.Dynamic Designer for Inventor is only one
of the many tools in our SimDesigner product family that will help designers
better understand their products and answer important questions such as, "Will
it work?" and "How long will it last?"
"Within our market it is extremely important to be flexible, innovative and
fast," said Mr. Volker Groninger, CEO of groninger & co. GmbH. "Our customers
expect complex, custom-made products, with which they can do filling, packaging
and labeling of different types of packages, including syringes, vials and
bottles, both for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical market. Most of our filling
machines are custom made or adjusted to the customers needs. Before we used
MSC.Dynamic Designer Motion Professional we performed our analyses using the
known mathematical and physical methods -- now with MSC.Dynamic Designer we can
be more flexible, check more design options, be more precise and get our
results faster. We can now make key decisions during the pre-development phase
rather than having to wait later in the design cycle. It was important for us
to decide for a tool, which is easy to use and learn, has an excellent
price-value ratio and is seamlessly integrated in our CAD-system. I have great
expectations of the combined use of Inventor and MSC.Dynamic Designer once all
of our engineers are trained on it."
Seamlessly integrated within Autodesk Inventor and other major CAD-Systems,
MSC.Dynamic Designer provides capabilities for motion simulation of 3D models.
MSC.Dynamic Designer helps engineers to understand the true dynamic
functionality of his designs inside Inventor and other CAD-systems before
building and testing physical prototypes.
